Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, including anatomy and physiology. This role requires a commitment to resident rights and the ability to manage shifts effectively while ensuring high standards of care are maintained. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in patient care. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and ensure appropriate care plans are established and followed. Manage MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements. Advocate for resident rights, ensuring their dignity and preferences are respected at all times. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and improve overall quality of care. Provide guidance on hospice care practices when necessary, ensuring compassionate end-of-life care for residents. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Proven experience in nurse management within a nursing home or similar healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nursing best practices. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Experience in shift management to ensure adequate staffing and coverage at all times. Familiarity with MDS processes and documentation requirements is highly desirable. Commitment to upholding resident rights and providing compassionate care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on teamwork.
