Location:
Main Hospital Bldg - 1st Flr Primary Purpose Performs routine and emergency EKG's per doctor's request to provide a diagnostic tool for diagnosis and treatment.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Must have completed a Medical Assistant course that includes EKG OR must have six months of experience performing cardio graphic procedures. Prefer six months in high volume acute care hospital setting Equivalent Education and/or
Experience:
May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
Skills or Special Abilities:
Must be able to identify the proper placement of electrodes for a 12-Lead EKG. Must be able to perform 12-Lead EKG. Must be able to utilize the MUSE (EKG Management System) for edit of EKGs prior to physician interpretation. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and hospital staff. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of PC operations and the ability to use work processing and spreadsheet software in a Windows environment. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment in order to monitor its general working condition. Utilizes creativity and innovation in attaining desired outcomes. Uses a holistic approach and persists when solving problems. Works in a highly organized manner, capturing and attending to details as well as the bigger picture. Acts with a sense of urgency. Synthesizes information and shares with a larger group. Works effectively in an ambiguous environment.
