2 Description American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience for a day-shift inpatient role with on-call rotation. Details Inpatient GI/Endoscopy department setting 5x8-hour day shifts with varying procedure start times between 0600-0830 Rotating on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays 1:1 patient ratio Handles portable/bedside travel cases Epic EMR experience required for consideration Requirements Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience required Prior travel assignment experience required BLS certification required AHA certification preferred; ARC not accepted; military certification acceptable License required if applicable Proficiency assisting with biopsies and procedural support Experience with equipment including balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, ERBE units, forceps, foreign body equipment, and polyp snares Skilled in cleaning and care of colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EUS scopes, enteroscopes, and ERCP scopes Experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and sterilization/disinfection protocols Knowledge of infection control practices and Universal Protocol (time out) procedures State-issued ID required prior to consideration SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Assist with procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, dilations, and esophageal foreign body removal Perform room turnover, instrument processing, and cleaning duties Handle specimen collection and pathology specimen management Restock room and cart supplies as needed Use of Provation system for documentation RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, subject to management approval prior to contract signing During holiday season (Nov-Jan), only one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval Local candidates within 90 miles are accepted at a local rate First-time travelers may be considered given required travel experience is met
