Montana DBT Associates (MDBTA) is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented clinician to join our growing practice. This position will focus primarily on providing DBT to adolescents and their families , with opportunities to work with some adult clients as well. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with teenagers , enjoys being part of a collaborative clinical team, and is looking for more than simply a job. We want someone who is excited to invest in the practice, grow as a clinician, and become an important part of our team. What You'll Do Provide individual DBT therapy primarily to adolescents Provide individual therapy to some adult clients Co-facilitate adolescent and/or multifamily DBT skills groups Work collaboratively with parents and caregivers, including family therapy sessions Participate actively in DBT consultation team Provide DBT phone coaching support as appropriate Participate in case conceptualization and treatment planning Complete timely clinical documentation Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and consultation What We're Looking For We're looking for a clinician who is: Energetic, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited about working with teens Warm, engaging, and able to connect authentically with adolescents Comfortable working with parents and families Open to working with both adolescents and adults Collaborative and genuinely enjoys being part of a team Flexible and willing to contribute to a growing practice Curious, coachable, and receptive to feedback Organized, dependable, and able to manage clinical responsibilities independently Interested in continued professional growth and development The DBT Learning Curve Matters You do not need to already be an expert in DBT. We are much more interested in your willingness and ability to learn. DBT is a comprehensive treatment model—not just a collection of skills to add to an existing therapy style. Learning it well requires practice, feedback, humility, and a willingness to tolerate the discomfort of being a beginner. We are looking for someone who is very open to learning a new way of practicing , including being willing to examine and change established clinical habits. You must be willing to receive feedback, stay engaged when learning feels uncomfortable, and ultimately practice DBT with fidelity to the model. Qualifications LCSW or SWLC in Montana Experience working with adolescents required Experience with adults is a plus Experience with DBT, CBT, or other evidence-based therapies is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to ethical, evidence-based clinical practice Willingness to participate actively in supervision, consultation, and ongoing training Why MDBTA?
