Job Description
Job Overview Cornerstone HealthMD is seeking a compassionate and experienced Addiction Therapist / Substance Abuse Counselor to provide counseling through telehealth to patients receiving treatment for substance use disorders. This is a part-time, independent contractor position offering flexible scheduling and fully remote work. The counselor will collaborate with our medical providers to support patients with opioid, alcohol, kratom, and other substance use disorders. Responsibilities Provide individual addiction counseling through secure telehealth Complete initial assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals Use evidence-based approaches, including motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and cognitive behavioral techniques Help patients improve treatment engagement, coping skills, and recovery stability Complete timely and accurate progress notes and treatment documentation Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the clinical team Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Identify patients who may need a higher level of care or additional behavioral health services Required Qualifications Active CADC-II credential recognized in Georgia Must be eligible to provide addiction counseling to patients located in Georgia Experience providing counseling for substance use disorders Strong communication, documentation, and patient-engagement skills Ability to work independently in a telehealth environment Compassionate, professional, and nonjudgmental approach to patient care Reliable computer, internet connection, and private workspace for telehealth sessions Preferred Qualifications Active Georgia LPC or LCSW license General knowledge of medication-assisted treatment, including buprenorphine Previous telehealth counseling experience Familiarity with motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and relapse-prevention counseling Schedule Part-time Flexible schedule Fully remote Appointments scheduled according to counselor availability
Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hourBenefits:
