Gateway Healthcare in Pawtucket, RI & Johnston, RI is actively hiring Clinical Therapist for our Child & Family Therapeutic Outreach team. Clinical Therapists work with young children and youth & families managing behavioral health issues. This is a community-based in which you will work with families in their homes where you can have a significant impact on improving family functioning.

Responsibilities:

Provide intensive clinical intervention services to children with acute symptoms that interfere with their daily functioning Coordinate care with Pediatricians, school & other providers through meetings, telephone conversations and correspondence Complete assessment, treatment plans, and discharge summaries that are client & family centered Provide crisis intervention to children and adolescents at imminent risk of psychiatric hospitalization in an attempt to stabilize client within the home or community in order to deter hospitalization Identify family needs that can be supported within our scope of practice Provide on-call phone coverage 2-3 weeks/year Function as liaison and client advocate with community agencies Grow professionally through trainings in evidence-based practiced targeted to specific populations

Qualifications:

Master's degree in social work, counseling, family therapy, or other clinical degree that will lead to RI licensure Must be a qualified Medicaid practitioner as per DCYF regulation Experience working with children & youth who have serious emotional disorders or other relevant experience is desirable Valid driver's license Why work for Gateway Healthcare?
