The House Manager works closely with the Supervisor, RN, and/or LVN, sharing observations and information to maintain consistency and a high quality of client care. The House Manager ensures that Active Treatment is provided, data collection is taken correctly and consistently, and the overall appearance of the home/facility is clean and in good repair. Qualifications Must have one or more years experience in this, or a related health care field. Direct care staff who have been employed over 90 days with this company. Excellent job performance with this company Must be responsible and have good organizational skills. Have successfully completed Drug Administration Certification training. Completed 24 hours of in-service training. Must be able to provide direct and immediate supervision to subordinate staff. Description of Duties Client Services The House Manager directly provides as well as supervises direct care staff, in providing programs and/or nursing services to the client. The House Manager ensures that Active Treatment is continuous and aggressive. Medication Administration The House Manager must have successfully passed Medication Administration Certification training, be aware and show knowledge of individual client medications, and be aware of any changes in medications. The House Manager will supervise the medication administration procedures of other direct care staff. The House Manager may assist the LVN in auditing and ordering medication weekly. Staff Orientation The House Manager will work with the Supervisor and QMRP in the training of new staff for their home/facility. Orientation will include going over daily routines, individual programs, and house orientation (emergency shut-offs, supplies, equipment, etc.). The House Manager will periodically check up on new staff and advise or train as needed. Groceries and Supplies The House Manager is responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and groceries on a weekly basis House Keeping The House Manager will help develop and implement cleaning schedules; responsibilities will be divided among shifts based on availability of time and staffing. House keeping duties should not interfere with primary responsibilities related to client care when clients are physically present in the home/facility. The House Manager will participate in and ensure that cleaning schedules are consistently followed. Daily Routines, ISPs, and Documentation The House Manager will ensure the continuity of Individual Daily Routine schedules as well as the House Daily Routine and assist the QMRP in updating and changing existing schedules. The House Manager will supervise all documentation (ADL's, Medication, ISP goals, Med. Audits) by Direct Care Staff, and will report medical concerns or problems immediately to Direct Care Staff and will report medical concerns or problems immediately to Direct Care Staff Supervisor/QIDP. Other Responsibilities The House Manager may, at times, be called to assist with scheduling outings and outings. They may also be called to assist physician or other consultant upon their arrival at the home/facility, alerting them to any medical problems or concerns.
