We are a NON-corporate , privately-owned practice that TRULY treats each other like family, where everyone works together to help our patients value the importance of dental health from a young age. You will be joining an experienced front desk team where everyone works together to manage the front desk duties of the office. We pride ourselves on positive patient and family experiences for our littles ones! The team has been with the practice for many years and can attest to the pleasant work atmosphere we keep in the office. Come visit us and speak to our team yourself! We are a Fee-For-Service/Out-of-Network focused office and do not accept medicaid. Our office is fully digital utilizing the latest dental software and imaging and do regular training in OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and CE's as required by the Illinois State Dental Board and American Dental Association. The applicant will be compensated appropriately based on experience and skillset they bring to our practice. Pay will be competitive and above average compared to industry standards. The starting pay listed is just a formality to encourage those with less experience to apply, as we are open to training the right individual!
The ideal candidate:
Good people/communication skills Be reliable and punctual Organized and systematic with good follow through. Must be able to maintain a busy, productive schedule. Must be able to think and work independently. Must have a good working knowledge of operating: scanners, printers, Mac computers, iPad's, etc. Technologically proficient to enhance work flow efficiencies Promote a safe, pleasant and harmonious environment for the team Ability to maintain an outgoing, friendly attitude with patients and team members. And overall-have a pleasant personality!! Experience Prior experience working in a dental practice is highly preferred; familiarity with pediatric or orthodontic practices is a plus! Proficiency in using dental software for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies, dental terminology, and dental insurance procedures to ensure accurate billing and utilization of insurance benefits Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person while maintaining professionalism. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information responsibly while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent computer skills combined with organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they walk in. Manage patient appointments efficiently using patient management software and dental systems, scheduling follow-ups and coordinating treatment plans. Verify insurance coverage, explain treatment costs, and assist with health insurance inquiries to facilitate seamless billing processes. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and personal information in accordance with health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines. Present and explain both pediatric and orthodontic treatment plans Communicate clearly with patients and their families via email, phone or in person, providing detailed explanations of procedures, treatment options, and office policies. Support clinical staff by preparing necessary documentation, updating electronic health records accurately, and managing administrative tasks. Assist in coordinating treatment schedules, follow-up appointments, and patient education to promote ongoing care adherence. Assist in social media postings on Facebook, Instagram, etc. Additional responsibilities may be required as needed to help the team
