Job Description

This is a leadership role within the home health industry overseeing a team dedicated to patient care. The Executive Director plays a hands on role in the daily operations of the organization, ensuring patients receive high quality support that helps them regain as much independence as possible.
Essential Duties:
The duties below reflect the core responsibilities of this role. This list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Own the day to day operations of the department and make sound business decisions in the best interest of the organization and its staff. Directly manage a team, including hiring and onboarding, training, workload distribution, performance reviews, and individual development planning. Hold the team accountable to productivity standards that align with broader departmental goals set by leadership. Lead operational planning, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance efforts. Assess outcomes and data regularly, adjusting services, structure, and internal processes as needed. Maintain clear, consistent communication across staff, departments, and senior leadership. Uphold high ethical standards in both business operations and clinical practice. Physical requirements include occasional standing, moving, communicating, and reviewing written materials, along with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds independently (up to 200 pounds with assistance). Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare, ideally within home health or a related post acute care setting. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, including development and ongoing monitoring. Strong working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing home health services. Proven leadership and people management skills. A strong customer service mindset. A hands on, service oriented leadership approach. Genuine interest in working with an older adult population. Availability for weekend work as needed, and willingness to be on call. Strong collaborator who takes direction well but also shows initiative, going the extra mile to make sure patients feel cared for and comfortable. Self driven, with a strong sense of ownership over results. Comfortable with standard internet browsers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher), electronic health record systems, and HR related platforms as applicable. Alignment with the organization's overall goals and values.
Working Conditions:
This role may involve a range of physical demands beyond those listed above. Regular travel throughout the assigned coverage area is required. Physical demands may occasionally include extended periods of standing, movement, communication, and reviewing written information, along with climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds independently (up to 200 pounds with assistance). Work takes place across a mix of settings, including patient homes, care facilities, and office environments, requiring adaptability across different locations. Exposure to a variety of home environments, including potential exposure to infectious conditions. Compliance with all applicable safety requirements is required. This role requires active participation in team building efforts, contributing to a collaborative, supportive work culture. Ongoing training and continuing education are expected, with ownership over pursuing professional growth and skill development. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, we will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities and encourages prospective employees and incumbents to discuss potential accommodations with the employer. We consider the health and safety of our patients, family members, and team members as its highest priorities. All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening, participation in required health assessments (such as TB testing or physical evaluations), and the use of designated personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and applicable law.
