About Redington Memorial Home Redington Memorial Home (RMH) is a private, non-profit assisted living facility. For over 85 years, RMH has provided private pay assisted living care to the elderly of Central Maine. Currently a 31 bed facility, it provides a comprehensive array of programs for seniors including safe, supportive, and affordable housing, sit down meals, care assistance, education, recreation, and friendly visits. Our mission is to provide quality senior living and create an environment where each resident truly feels at home. About the Role RMH is seeking an Administrator to carry out its mission while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Home, including the coordination of all aspects of resident care, the supervision of staff, facility management, and organizational marketing. RMH seeks an experienced candidate working in the field of elder care or health care and possessing proven leadership skills, budget management, effective communication/people skills, and a strong desire for personal growth. The Administrator follows RMH policies and procedures and reports to the board of directors but the position provides significant independence, authority, and creative control. This is a full-time, salaried position. Core Responsibilities Planning/coordinating/overseeing resident care Assessing and service planning for all residents to ensure that care needs are being met Interacting positively and confidentially with residents, family members, staff and other health care professionals Implementing admission and discharge policies Managing staff: hiring, duty assignment, evaluation and coordination of professional development Preparing, organizing and overseeing resident/business records in accordance with state regulations Collaborating with the board of directors in areas of policy development, financial planning, and budgeting Engaging in community outreach and marketing Directing facility management and ordering of supplies Developing and implementing crisis prevention and/or intervention strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or sufficient education and experience in health care or health care administration Minimum 2-5 years' experience working in elder care or health care Management/supervisory experience Ability to work independently and as a team with staff, residents, and families Maintain compliance and confidentiality including working knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules Strong written and verbal communication skills Budgeting and financial management and planning Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Licensure/certification for Resident Care Facility Administrator strongly preferred. If not licensed, then willing to obtain licensure within 120 days Background in planning, coordinating, and overseeing resident care in an assisted living facility subject to licensing and regulatory requirements Experience drafting and updating policies to ensure compliance Marketing, social media, and website maintenance a plus. RMH offers a competitive pay and benefit package including employer-paid health insurance, generous vacation, and paid holidays. The annual salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $95,000 and is based on education and experience in the field.
