Job Overview Reach Counseling is a mental health agency seeking a medical receptionist / mental health biller with at least 1 year of mental health billing experience to join our amazing administrative dream team! Primary responsibilities include checking in clients, answering phone calls and texts, responding to inquiries and referrals, scheduling appointments, verifying benefits, following up on denied billing claims, performing Medicaid billing and eligibility requirements and managing accounts receivable. This person will work closely with others on the administrative team and provide support to the clinicians as well as other administrative tasks. This is an in-person position in either our Millcreek or Eagle Mountain office. Our new Eagle Mountain office is being built and will be completed in 3-4 months depending on construction. Training will take place in our South Jordan office (if the new hire is in Eagle Mountain, they will work in South Jordan until the office is completed). Duties Verify client insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate data entry into electronic health records (EHR) systems Resolve insurance claim rejections and denials and follow up on unpaid claims Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, and internal teams via phone and email to resolve billing issues or inquiries Maintain detailed records of revenue cycle activities, including payments, denials, and adjustments Support administrative backup to administrative team and clinicians. Monitor Accounts Receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts Communicate professionally with clients regarding account balance and status Other billing and administrative responsibilities as company grows and demands arise Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience with mental health billing. Proficiency in Google docs (word processing, spreadsheets) Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, managed care, and medical terminology Experience with electronic health records (EHR) management systems is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in writing Familiarity with revenue cycle management principles and insurance third-party billing procedures Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Strong typing skills and experience with data entry to support billing accuracy and speedJoin us in creating a supportive environment where your administrative expertise helps improve mental health services!
