IDD Direct Support Professional

BTTR Living is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide one on one support to adults with developmental disabilities in Hayward and Castro Valley. This role focuses on helping participants build independence through real life experiences like social outings, daily routines, and community activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Provide 1:1 support in the community and at home Support participants with social activities such as going out to eat, shopping, or attending events Help build confidence in communication, decision making, and everyday interactions Assist with daily routines like organization, planning, and simple cooking Encourage independence through real life practice, not just supervision Complete session notes using BTTR systems

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Friendly, reliable, and patient individuals Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Comfortable engaging in social and community based activities Able to work independently and stay organized Open to learning person centered practices and real life coaching

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years or older Background check clearance required Must be eligible to work in the United States Valid driver license and reliable transportation preferred

SCHEDULE

Part time with flexible hours Weekday and weekend availability preferred PAY $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience
