In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or community settings, your energy and commitment will foster a positive environment where clients thrive. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop rewarding relationships while gaining valuable experience in patient care and support services. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of personal spaces Document care activities accurately in client records, including progress notes and incident reports Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or aging populations such as geriatrics or dementia care is highly preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and patient personal care assistance Ability to work effectively in home health or community care settings with a focus on safety and compassion Certification or experience in first aid, CPR, manual handling, and resident transfer methods is advantageous Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Willingness to perform light to heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to proper manual handling procedures Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of client information Join us if you're passionate about providing exceptional support that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
