Vista Care Wisconsin, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional-FLOAT in Oshkosh, WI. This is a full-time position. Support Professional (Float DSP) position at Vista Care.

Core Responsibilities Location:

Winnebago County Multi-Program Coverage & Travel:

Covers multiple residential programs within an assigned region to ensure appropriate staffing coverage and high-quality care, requiring routine travel across the region.

Direct Care & Personal Support:

Provides high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, assists with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, and supports medical or behavioral support plans (ISP/BSP).

Meal Preparation & Health Management:

Prepares and serves meals, shops for groceries, assists with dietary choices, manages medication administration, and monitors individuals for health or behavioral changes.

Documentation & Communication:

Maintains thorough and accurate documentation in systems (health tracking, incident reports, T-Logs, MARs, etc.) and fosters positive relationships with individuals, families, and leadership.

Safety, Transportation & Housekeeping:

Ensures a clean, safe environment, performs light housekeeping, reports vehicle and equipment maintenance needs, and transports individuals to appointments, jobs, and recreational activities.

Qualifications & Requirements Basic Criteria:

At least 18 years of age, High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Experience:

Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, Caregiver, or in residential/in-home services for individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Transportation & Attendance:

Excellent attendance is required. Must have a valid driver's license, personal liability insurance, and the ability to use personal or company vehicles for transporting individuals.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a routine basis and assist individuals with movement, bending, twisting, and standing.
