$24.00 - $27.00/hour A leading flavors and ingredients manufacturer is seeking a Quality Lab Analyst - Sensory to join its quality team in East Hanover, NJ. This role is ideal for someone with laboratory, quality control, food science, chemistry, or sensory evaluation experience who enjoys hands-on lab work and product testing. Responsibilities Prepare product and raw material samples for sensory evaluation following standard procedures Perform sensory evaluations, as well as chemical and physical testing of flavoring products and ingredients Evaluate products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications Make approval or rejection decisions for finished products and raw materials Review test methods, specifications, procedures, and work instructions Assist with quality investigations and non-conformance activities involving products and raw materials Maintain laboratory equipment and monitor calibration schedules Ensure laboratory instruments and equipment remain in proper working condition Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow established procedures Perform daily activities in compliance with

FSSC 22000

food safety standards and EHS requirements Qualifications Laboratory or QC experience and knowledge of laboratory techniques Basic sensory evaluation capabilities preferred Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus Experience with laboratory systems, analytical equipment, and instrumentation preferred Microbiological testing experience is a plus Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous materials, and applicable regulations Degree or diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field Recent graduates are welcome to apply 2+ years of QC experience preferred Zing Recruiting, a leader in the staffing industry for the past 33 years, continues our vision of 'linking' communities through employment.
