Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care setting. Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions and changes in health status. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders. Recognize changes in resident condition and communicate clinical concerns promptly. Follow individualized resident care plans and nursing interventions. Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, pharmacy, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members. Maintain accurate and timely electronic nursing documentation. Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality resident care. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow healthcare professionals. Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing. Current CPR/BLS certification. Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing experience preferred but not required. Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
