Job Description
Southern Illinois Dermatology is a busy dermatology clinic with offices located throughout southern Illinois. We are locally owned and operated by board certified dermatologist, Dr. Ted Van Acker, since 1996. We have proudly served the southern Illinois region for 30 years! Come be part of our team! Southern Illinois Dermatology seeks full time medical assistant or LPN for the following position: 1. Murphysboro/DuQuoin locations- Most days in our Murphysboro clinic but DuQuoin clinic approximately one day per month. This position is 3 days per week (M-W) position but could add a 4th float day for interested candidates that would like full time hours. A medical assistant/LPN will perform patient intake, document within EHR system (Nextgen Heathcare), assist providers with patient care, remove sutures and perform procedures as allowed under license/training, provide any necessary coordination of care, stock supplies and other duties as assigned. Successful candidate should be interested in a clinical career and possess compassion, caring and thoughtfulness for patient care. We will provide on the job training for the right candidate. The following are requirements of this position: At least 1 year of recent experience in a physician office is preferred Proficiency with computers including Electronic Medical Record systems preferred A professional positive attitude is required along with good communication skills Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills Ability to work well with others
