Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during their visits. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Perform intake procedures, including gathering medical history and vital signs. Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider. Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical area while adhering to infection control protocols. Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures. Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, and treatment information in electronic health records (EHR). Collect and prepare specimens for testing, perform basic laboratory procedures, and ensure proper handling of samples. Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider, following safety and compliance protocols. Provide clear instructions regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care; ensure a positive patient experience. Manage patient appointments, handle phone calls, process insurance information, and maintain organized records. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred. Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques is required. Experience in outpatient settings or clinics is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and empathy towards patients' needs. Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.
