Role OverviewAs a Medical Assistant, you¿ll play a vital role in delivering quality and compassionate care to our patients. Working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your contributions will directly support providers during examinations and procedures, making a meaningful impact on patient care.

What You Will DoGreet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.

Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

Assist providers during clinical procedures and examinations.

Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and patient care.

QualificationsWhat You Will NeedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.

Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.

Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.

EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.

Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA/CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Associations Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), and National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). ORGraduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. ORCurrent Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). ORLicensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. ORMilitary trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
