In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position is mainly based at our Mount Vernon office with rotating working on Saturday and at Spring Valley. We pay travel allowance and mileage. Details of working schedule to be discussed in the initial interview. • 105 Stevens Avenue, Ste. 506 | Mount Vernon, NY 10550 • 60 North Madison Avenue | Spring Valley, NY 10977 Responsibilities Clinical Duties Prepare patients for examinations and ensure their comfort. Take and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, weight). Assist physicians or nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., blood, urine, swabs). Administer medications Prepare and sterilize exam rooms, equipment, and instruments. Provide patient education under supervision (e.g., medication instructions, aftercare). Manage supplies inventory and exam room stock-up Administrative Duties Play the role of Front Office alternately. Check-in and check-out patient. Schedule patient follow up appointments at check-out Answer phone calls, check voicemails, and handle patient inquiries. Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system. Handle referrals and lab orders. Assist with coding for insurance purposes and billing. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant is required. More than 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate approach to patient care with strong interpersonal skills. Experience in outpatient or urgent care settings is preferred.
