We are specifically looking for someone with experience working in a plastic surgery, medical, personal injury, or medical-lien environment who is comfortable communicating directly with law firms, case managers, attorneys, patients, and medical providers. Responsibilities Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling and general questions Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Schedule consultations, follow-up appointments, and procedures Communicate with law firms, attorneys, paralegals, and case managers regarding lien patients Assist with personal injury and medical lien cases Track lien cases and maintain accurate case information Assist with preparation and processing of medical reports, consultation reports, and treatment plan reports Follow up with physicians regarding completion of reports Send medical reports, records, bills, and supporting documentation to law firms Assist with medical billing and lien billing Respond to law firm questions regarding patient treatment, reports, billing, balances, and case status Follow up on outstanding bills, liens, and requests from law firms Maintain organized electronic and physical patient files Obtain and organize outside medical records when necessary Assist the office with general administrative and front-desk responsibilities Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: Previous medical receptionist or medical office experience Experience with personal injury cases and/or medical liens Experience communicating with law firms and case managers Familiarity with medical billing, medical records, and medical reports Plastic surgery, dermatology, orthopedic, pain management, chiropractic, or other PI-related medical office experience is a plus Excellent telephone and communication skills Strong organizational and follow-up skills Ability to multitask and manage multiple patient and lien cases Professional appearance and demeanor Strong computer and electronic medical record skills Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who understands that lien cases require consistent follow-up and excellent communication. You should be comfortable speaking with law firms regarding treatment status, medical reports, billing, outstanding balances, and documentation while providing excellent service to our patients. Experience handling PI lien cases from the initial consultation through billing and case follow-up is highly preferred.
