CA - Sterile Processing Tech (West Hollywood, CA, 90048) | 07/07/26 Job Description Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) A Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure they are safe and ready for patient care. Duties include operating washers and sterilizers, performing high-level disinfection (HLD), assembling instrument trays and case carts, monitoring sterilization using biological and chemical indicators, maintaining accurate documentation, and following infection control, AAMI, and hospital safety standards. SPTs work closely with the operating room team to ensure the timely availability of sterile instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
