Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently Schedule, reschedule, and confirm dental appointments using electronic scheduling systems Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Assist with documentation review, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical histories, and managing care plans Handle medical coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for billing and insurance claims processing Manage health information management tasks such as record requests, data entry, and filing in compliance with health information management standards Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and administrative support tasks Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative role with clinic experience Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance procedures including Medicare and health insurance policies Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure patient privacy at all times Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including typing skills (10 key typing) for efficient data entry Ability to handle phone communication professionally while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure Strong organizational skills with clerical experience supporting front desk operations in a healthcare setting Basic understanding of medical terminology related to dental care and health information management Join our team where your expertise will make a meaningful difference!
