Hill Country Children's Dentistry is a specialized pediatric dental practice dedicated to creating positive, comfortable dental experiences for children ages 0-18. We're a growing startup led by Dr. Elisa Perez, a pediatric dentist specialist trained at UTHSCSA.

Your Core Responsibilities:
- Insurance Expertise

- Verify dental benefits accurately for Medicaid, CHIP, PPO, and Foster insurance
- Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims with precision
- Handle insurance calculations, denials, and appeals
- Communicate with insurance carriers professionally and effectively
- Ensure correct coverage information BEFORE treatment to prevent billing issues
- Scheduling & Patient Coordination
- Manage daily appointments using Dentrix Ascend
- Schedule new patients and recalls with efficiency
- Provide warm, professional phone and email customer service to families
- Handle patient check-in/check-out and payment collection
- Manage recall outreach (text, email, phone) to improve patient retention
- Collections & Financial Management
- Post payments accurately in Dentrix Ascend
- Manage patient accounts, answer questions, and work out payment arrangements
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Operational Support
- Coordinate specialty referrals and patient communications
- Maintain accurate, organized patient records and documentation
- Support daily office goals and practice efficiency
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
✓ 1+ years of pediatric OR general dental front office experience ✓ 1+ years of dental insurance verification and claims processing ✓ Strong knowledge of Medicaid and PPO insurance ✓ Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix Ascend preferred) ✓ Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures ✓ Professional phone manner and excellent communication skills ✓ Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail ✓ Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure ✓ Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented ✓ High school diploma or equivalent We're a startup, which means we're growing.
