Key Qualifications:

Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (must be valid and in hand) Experience supporting students with autism or complex learning needs in an educational setting strongly preferred Comfortable assisting with feeding and toileting tasks as needed (note: two nurses already on-site for these support needs) Willingness to complete and pay for $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to start (required for all candidates) Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information and student needs

Your Responsibilities:

Provide direct classroom and one-on-one support for a female middle school student within the Bridges Program Assist teachers and related staff in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies Engage students in academic and social activities, facilitating development and participation Support feeding and toileting routines if necessary, collaborating with nursing staff Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students This position offers consistent weekday hoursMonday through Friday, 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, during the schools 8:05am2:55pm schedule.
