We are looking to fill several BHT positions as soon as possible, this is an entry level position and a good way to get into the Substance Abuse Field. Work is performed under the supervision of the Lead Tech / BHT Supervisor. The BHT is responsible for facility, vehicles and clients safety. They are responsible for assisting with the monitoring and maintaining the condition of the facility and facility vehicle's and all client activities in a safe and orderly manner; and reporting any identified facility or vehicle deficits to the Lead Tech and / or BHT Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Lead Tech, and BHT Supervisor with the supervision of clients in their daily activities. Ensure the clients follow treatment schedule. Transport clients to and from medical and other appointments or other critical needs as they arise. Transport clients to and from treatment, shopping, meetings and appointments as needed. Make continuous rounds. Redirecting and reporting clients if rules are broken. Responsible for understanding and enforcing Program Rules at all levels of care. General maintenance duties as assigned by Lead Tech or BHT Supervisor. Promotes a favorable/positive work atmosphere. Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment. Reports personal symptoms of suspected illness of contagious diseases to the Clinical Director. Reports incidents, accidents, and occurrences in accordance with policies and procedures. Maintains safety of the physical environment. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Independently solve problems and follow through. Organize and function independently in an office environment. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct substance abuse assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse issues
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Utilize crisis management techniques to address immediate client needs
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive change
  • Administer medication as prescribed by medical professionals
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate treatment effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care
Experience:
  • Experience working with individuals with substance abuse issues
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to substance abuse treatment
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substance Abuse Technician to join our team.
