Job Description

Phoenix Rising Recovery is an addiction treatment facility in Palm Desert, California that's dedicated to helping clients rise above their past trauma and addictions into happier, healthier lives. We are currently looking for Resident Aids to join our team for our male residential program! This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients, and for facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of the program. This position collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to deliver effective substance abuse treatment and care to clients. AVAILABILITY, we are currently looking for: NOC Shift (3pm-11:30pm) Tuesday-Saturday Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with intakes, orient clients to the facility and ensure rules of the program are understood and followed Provide support and build rapport with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries at all times Conduct rounds, belonging searches and safety checks on a routine basis Administer drug and alcohol screenings to clients as needed Assist clients in self administration of prescribed medication as needed Enforce and monitor cell phone usage, visitation hours, and adherence to program schedule Transport to and attend offsite activities such as meetings, gym, and appointments Ensure clients attend all scheduled groups and therapy sessions as scheduled Lead clients in organized activities and effectively teach independent living skills Provide effective crisis intervention as needed Complete all program documentation, shift/crossover reports, incident reports and other forms according to company policies Ensure the facility is clean, safe and in compliance at all times Other duties as assigned by the leadership team Qualifications Currently registered with CCAPP required. (RADT, etc.) At least 18 years of age. High School graduate or possess a GED. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social work a plus One year full-time experience working directly with clients in a program serving people with substance use. Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
