Job Description

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) provides direct care, direction, and supervision to emotionally and/or behaviorally challenged children and adolescents. The MHT assists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and focuses on an environment of safety and relationship building.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Valid Driver's License required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Job Duties:
Supervise daily routines and responsibilities of our clients and ensure performance of daily self-care tasks, assisting when necessary. Ensure a safe and secure environment, acting immediately to remove all dangers or threats to the welfare of our clients. Provide minor First Aid as necessary. Provide milieu management through the use of structured programming. Facilitate or co-facilitate daily programming activities, transitional meetings, and therapeutic groups. Participate in the planning and implementation of individualized treatment plans and schedules. Provide transportation, when necessary, to and from school, activities, off-campus appointments and visits, etc. Distribute medications as required, ensuring compliance with all medication procedures.
