Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Degree in Music Education or a related field Valid teaching certification appropriate for PK-12 levels Experience or strong interest in vocal music education, including classroom and choral settings Ability to design and implement inclusive, engaging lessons for students of all abilities Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to adapt instruction Preferred experience with music therapy techniques, or eagerness to integrate therapeutic approaches in music education

Key Responsibilities:

Teach vocal music classes to diverse groups, from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade Encourage student participation and appreciation for music as part of a vibrant school culture Plan and prepare lessons and appropriate materials for both general music classes and vocal ensembles Organize and conduct performances, concerts, or assemblies as part of the school's arts programming Collaborate with faculty to meet the varied learning needs of students Assess student progress and provide engaging feedback for continued growth Maintain an encouraging, respectful, and supportive classroom environment This role offers the chance to shape the musical journey of students from their first notes through graduation.
