Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for assisting with specialized imaging procedures in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing and ensuring accuracy of nuclear medicine tests and procedures. Calibrating equipment and conducting quality control on gamma cameras. Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, and obtaining proper identification. Handling radiopharmaceuticals according to safety protocols. Supporting the nuclear physician during imaging procedures. Adhering to hospital, state, and federal regulations. Completing special assignments and ensuring test validity before releasing results.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB certification, BLS certification.
Preferred:
Two years hospital experience, NMTCB Fusion or
ARRT R, CT
certification.
