Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Physician Assistant's (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner's (ARNP) to join our acute care hospitalist team in Pinellas County, Florida. This role works directly alongside our physician hospitalists to deliver comprehensive inpatient care, with the option to pursue a hybrid schedule split between hospital medicine and our post-acute network (SNF/ALF/IRF) for APPs who want variety across care settings. Responsibilities Provide inpatient medical care for hospitalized adult patients in collaboration with supervising/collaborating physicians. Perform admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning support. Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Coordinate care with specialists, nursing, Care Coordination, and ancillary departments. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring providers. Accurately document all patient encounters; our billing partner supports coding and note scrubbing on the back end. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees as appropriate. For hybrid-track
APPs:
extend care into post-acute settings (SNF/ALF/IRF) as part of a coordinated hospital-to-post-acute care model.
Experience Physician Assistant:
NCCPA certification and active or eligible Florida PA license, practicing under a Board of Medicine Notice of Supervision.
Nurse Practitioner:
Active or eligible Florida APRN license with national certification, practicing under an applicable collaborative practice agreement. DEA registration and current ACLS certification. Hospital medicine or acute care experience strongly preferred; post-acute experience a plus for hybrid-track candidates. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Prior credentialing at Largo Medical Center, Morton Plant Hospital, or Northside Hospital (NSH) is a plus. Pay:
$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
