Job/Practice Description:
Psychiatric NP/PA Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8: 00 AM-5: 00 PM Works at several locations, prioritized by patient volume — 2 days per week based in Hartsville, SC Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations Diagnose and manage mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the primary care provider, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications Provide crisis intervention and ongoing psychotherapy as appropriate Complete timely EMR documentation for each patient encounter Request, obtain, and evaluate screening test results Monitor treatment regimens in selected populations Confer with collaborating physician as needed Participate in quality assurance reviews and practice transformation initiatives Serve as an advocate and liaison to local hospitals and health organizations Functions under a collaborative practice agreement per South Carolina regulations
Requirements:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Master's in Physician Assistant Sciences from an accredited program Licensed as an APRN or PA in South Carolina National certification (nurse practitioner certifying body, or NCCPA for PAs)
PMHNP-BC
