Description This contract position is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in the medical practice industry. As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a crucial role in patient care, working closely with our cardiology specialists to deliver high-quality healthcare services. You will see a diverse patient population and be involved in key diagnostic and treatment processes within our practice. This role contributes significantly to improving cardiovascular health outcomes in our community. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests Develop and implement patient care plans under the supervision of cardiology physicians Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health and lifestyle changes Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care Document all patient interactions accurately in the medical record Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives Requirements Associate's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies Current NP or PA license in the state of Texas Experience in cardiology preferred but not required Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of cardiac health Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Setting:
Outpatient clinic
Patient Volume:
2-16 per day No hospital bedside care, procedures, or cath lab
Duties:
Supervise technicians, perform patient assessments, develop and manage cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation plans, monitor patient progress
Support Staff:
APPs EMR:
Scottcare Versacare Software Must be board-certified ACLS and BLS required English/Spanish proficiency preferred Paid travel and expenses
