Providing comprehensive assessments, focused exams, and advanced clinical reasoning to diagnose, treat, and manage patients across the continuum of care Performing approved procedures and ordering, interpreting, and acting on diagnostic tests and medications within your scope of practice and clinical privileges Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans, ensure continuity, and support seamless transitions throughout hospitalization and follow-up Educating patients and families on their conditions, medications, and recovery plans — translating complex information into clear, actionable guidance that supports self-management and long-term wellness Championing quality, safety, and compliance by upholding hospital standards, regulatory requirements, and HCA Healthcare's mission to care for and improve human life
What You Will Do In Your Role:
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner provides primary care to ambulatory patients and adjusts therapeutic regimen as needed. The practice in an expanded role to provide healthcare to individuals, families and \or groups in a variety of settings including but not limited to homes, institutions, and private clinics. Coordinates patient care throughout in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary research team. Performs medical assessments including history, physical and specific prenatal and gynecological assessments and consults with physician regarding findings/changes in patient condition. Assists and provides consultation in the preparation of capital and operational budget reports. Provides hands-on education services to nursing staff and nursing students when needed. Assists with implementing protocols and policies for scope of practice. Maintains professional growth and development through attendance at professional conferences, symposia, and through ongoing continuing education. Performs other duties as indicated to coordinate and directly supervise BSN students in the performance of client care at RGRH for specific period time.What qualifications you will need:
Master's of Science Degree or Advance Nurse Practitioner certified by Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Physician Assistant certified by Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. Current RN licensure in the State of Texas. Evidence of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (TXBNE) recognition as an APN or Evidence of Texas State Board of Medical Examiners recognition as a Physician Assistant.
