Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, delivering exceptional patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you will serve as an advanced practice provider, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through comprehensive evaluations, treatment plans, and health education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to innovative healthcare delivery and community well-being. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks. Prescribe medications in accordance with DEA regulations and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs across specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and urgent care. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, phlebotomy, dermal fillers, Botox injections (botulinum toxin treatment), spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques. Manage acute and chronic conditions by providing acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine support, and critical care interventions in settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers. Collaborate with healthcare professionals on diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory experience and medical imaging; coordinate case management and discharge planning for optimal patient recovery. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote consultations while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations; document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices; contribute to utilization review and health coaching efforts to promote wellness. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to prescribe medications; familiarity with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations is required. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as emergency medicine, hospital medicine, ICU, dialysis centers, or nursing homes. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; experience with
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding and CPT coding is preferred. Strong clinical skills including physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, suturing, IV infusion/insertion techniques, catheter care, and sterile processing. Critical care experience such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience highly desirable; background in acute pain management and infectious disease care is advantageous. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health management strategies across populations including pediatrics (children), geriatrics (senior care), memory/dementia care or neonatal units. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology coupled with the ability to perform complex procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterization when needed.
