Job Description

Encompass Health seeks a Clinical OT Team Leader to guide a team of occupational therapists in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this leadership role, you'll balance direct patient care with supervision, mentoring, and coordination of interdisciplinary treatment plans for patients recovering from major illnesses and injuries. You will oversee quality, outcomes, and documentation, support scheduling and workflow, and foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement while advancing clinical excellence and professional growth within the OT team. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of occupational therapists in an inpatient rehabilitation setting Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans to support patient recovery from major illnesses and injuries Provide advanced clinical OT evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning Mentor and train OT staff, supporting competency development and clinical excellence Monitor quality, outcomes, and documentation to meet regulatory and accreditation standards Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and therapy teams to optimize functional outcomes Support scheduling, caseload management, and workflow efficiency for the OT team Promote a culture of integrity, respect, and continuous improvement in clinical practice Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Inpatient rehabilitation protocols Interdisciplinary care coordination Clinical documentation and EMR systems Team leadership and staff supervision Patient and family education Discharge planning and community reintegration Quality and outcomes monitoring Time and caseload management Regulatory and accreditation compliance
