Encompass Health seeks an Occupational Therapy Team Leader to guide a high-performing rehab team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this inpatient rehabilitation role, you will combine direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, overseeing occupational therapy services that promote safe, meaningful recovery and independence. You will mentor therapists, coordinate interdisciplinary treatment plans, support quality and compliance initiatives, and foster a nurturing, dynamic, and rewarding environment aligned with our mission of high-quality, patient-centered care and strong professional growth opportunities. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of occupational therapists in an inpatient rehab setting Provide direct, evidence-based OT interventions to a diverse adult population Develop, review, and adjust individualized treatment plans focused on functional recovery Coordinate care with nursing, PT, speech, and physicians to ensure patient-centric rehab Monitor clinical quality, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance Support staff onboarding, training, and performance feedback Collaborate with leadership to improve workflows, outcomes, and patient satisfaction Engage patients and families in education and discharge planning Required Skills Inpatient rehabilitation occupational therapy Clinical team leadership Care plan development and review Interdisciplinary care coordination Patient assessment and documentation Regulatory and compliance knowledge Quality and outcome improvement Staff coaching and mentoring Time and caseload management Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
