Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting healthcare professionals with tasks like catheter care, phlebotomy, and medication administration Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring a safe and supportive environment in memory or behavioral health units Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers to deliver patient-centered care in fast-paced environments Assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs; ensure safety during movement and repositioning Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while adhering to confidentiality standards and medical terminology guidelines Qualifications Valid CNA certification recognized by the state licensing board; current CPR/BLS certification required Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for documentation and patient data management Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices essential for delivering high-quality patient care Prior experience with critical care units like ICU or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable; experience in hospice or palliative care preferred Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work independently and as part of a team Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
