Job Description
Locations available: • Monday-Sunday 8am-12pm • Job Summary- (Total care client) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support roles, particularly in home care or group home settings. This position requires a patient and understanding individual who can effectively monitor health needs, administer medication, and assist with various tasks to enhance the quality of life for those under their care. Duties Provide direct support to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and observing any changes in condition. Assist with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being, especially for those with dementia or memory care needs. Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Collaborate with healthcare providers and family members to develop personalized care plans that address the specific needs of each client. Document daily activities, health observations, and any changes in client conditions accurately. Requirements Previous experience in home care, group home settings, or similar environments is preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is essential. Experience with medication administration and understanding of safety protocols related to it is required. Familiarity with dementia care and memory care strategies is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial. Must be patient, empathetic, and possess a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs is a plus. A valid driver's license may be required depending on the client's needs and location.
