Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional patient-centered care. In this vital role, you will support individuals across various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home healthcare environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that each patient receives personalized assistance, promoting their health, safety, and comfort. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' conditions through patient observation and vital signs checks; promptly report any changes to healthcare professionals Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures including catheter care, wound care, and medication administration following medical orders and home healthcare regulations Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Support patients with memory care needs, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and end-of-life care with patience and empathy Assist with patient transfers using proper transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; ensure safety during movement Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation in accordance with health standards Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent caregiver credential Prior experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or in hospice or long-term care settings preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, patient personal care assistance, and home health care regulations Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Current CPR and First Aid certifications; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Flexibility to work various shifts including live-in employment arrangements if required Join us in delivering compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
