( 1 Day and 1 Night Shift Available) Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and maintaining a safe environment. Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and communicate patient needs effectively. Practice aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infection. Utilize electronic health records (EHR/Epic) systems for accurate documentation and efficient patient information management. Requirements Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state licensing board. Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS/CPR). Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation purposes. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while following safe lifting practices and heavy lifting protocols when necessary. Strong communication skills for caregiver-patient interactions and team collaboration. Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
