Nursing Assistant I (NA I)•Adult Acute Care Hugh Chatham•
Elkin, NC Where You Will Work:
Adult Acute Care•
Med Surg:
IU 2nd Floor A 61-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in the care of orthopedic and stroke patients. The unit serves a diverse population with a broad range of medical conditions and surgical needs, including post-operative recovery and acute medical management. This fast-paced environment offers a dynamic setting where nurses develop strong clinical skills while managing a variety of patient cases. It is an ideal unit for nurses who enjoy a high level of activity, adaptability, and the opportunity to care for a wide spectrum of patient populations.
We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of an applicable State Approved Nurse Aide I course required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
What You'll Do:
Participates in the implementation of the nursing process by giving direct care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). Performs special procedures correctly under the direction of Registered Nurse (RN). Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers, and facility. Ensures complete, accurate and timely communication of patient information. Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members in an effective, positive and professional manner. Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development. Provides age/developmental appropriate patient care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
