Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) eager to support students in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, interim role centers on providing compassionate care to 5th-grade students with complex medical needs, following a 2:1 support ratio. The position also incorporates bus riding duties, ensuring student well-being during transportation. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs until an out-of-district placement is arranged.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time commitment Includes bus riding and coverage during transportation hours
Desired Qualifications:
Active and valid CNA or LNA licensure Demonstrated experience caring for childrenparticularly at the 5th-grade levelwith intricate medical or mobility needs Familiarity with supporting multiple students simultaneously (2:1 ratio) Confidence and willingness to ride the school bus as part of daily responsibilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a school or pediatric setting Ability to adapt quickly and provide high-quality care in dynamic, fast-paced situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on medical and personal support to students throughout the school day Collaborate with school nursing staff, teachers, and classroom personnel for seamless care integration Foster a safe, inclusive, and attentive environment, both in the classroom and during transportation Monitor and report changes in student health status promptly to appropriate contacts Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and health management tasks as prescribed in student care plans
