Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic skilled nursing facility healthcare team. Ratios:

Day shift = 4 CNA's, 2 observation aides, 1 charge nurse, Directors on Mon-Thrs Night Shift = 3 CNA's, 1 observation aide, 1 charge nurse Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with phlebotomy when qualified Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer devices Document patient information meticulously in medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect confidentiality Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs Respond promptly to patient calls or emergencies using critical thinking skills developed through experience in acute or emergency care settings Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Hospital will pay to have licensure transferred to Nevada Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or dementia care Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate documentation Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration support, and basic life support (CPR) certification Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home health environments is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols Strong communication skills with a compassionate caregiving approach that fosters trust and comfort among patients Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care that transforms lives!
