Monday-Friday 7a-3p Join our dedicated long-term care team as a Restorative Aide/CNA, where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. In this vital role, you will help residents regain and maintain physical function, independence, and overall well-being through therapeutic exercises and daily care support. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for those we serve. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your extensive caregiving experience while advancing your skills in a dynamic healthcare setting. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods. Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in residents' conditions, and communicate findings to nursing staff promptly. Support residents with medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and documentation standards. Implement individualized care plans focused on restorative practices to enhance residents' functional abilities and quality of life. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Use proper infection control techniques and aseptic procedures during all patient interactions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident's needs. Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or nursing home environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification. Skilled in patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance. Ability to communicate compassionately with residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease and their families. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus.
