Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff Provide basic nursing care including catheter care, wound observation, and medication reminders under supervision of licensed nurses Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting care activities meticulously in medical records Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to the healthcare team to facilitate timely interventions Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's/dementia care, memory care, behavioral health support, or caring for individuals with developmental disabilities Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a healthcare setting such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient handling and infection control Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II Trauma Center exposure preferred for advanced patient support roles Familiarity with specialized areas such as hospice care, pediatric or geriatric nursing, psychiatric health services, or post-acute/sub-acute care settings is highly valued Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy training or medication administration are advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; physically capable of manual handling tasks necessary for patient transfer and mobility assistance Join us in delivering exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving!
