POSITION SUMMARY

The Resident Care Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department within our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. This position provides leadership, direction, training, and support to the nursing team while helping ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and individualized care. The Resident Care Manager works closely with the nurse, resident care coordinator, residents, families, and other departments to promote quality care and ensure resident needs are identified and addressed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is organized, compassionate, dependable, and able to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident Care & Clinical Oversight Oversee the day-to-day delivery of resident care services in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Monitor resident care to ensure services are provided according to individual care plans and community standards. Follow up on resident changes in condition and communicate concerns appropriately. Monitor residents with ongoing or chronic health concerns, including skin issues, and ensure appropriate follow-up. Assist the nursing team in identifying and responding to changes in resident condition. Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Ensure appropriate documentation and communication regarding resident care. Staff Leadership & Supervision Lead, train, supervise, coach, and motivate resident care team members. Assist with orientation and training of new employees. Provide ongoing education and guidance to staff regarding resident care expectations and community procedures. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed. Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a positive work environment. Assist with maintaining appropriate staffing and coverage within the resident care department.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Current HCA or CNA credential/license in the State of Washington , as applicable to the position. Previous experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred. Knowledge of resident care practices, infection prevention, and applicable regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and staff. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
