A Charge Nurse supervises and supports a nursing staff, while also treating a limited number of patients. Evaluates other nurses and acts as an educational resource for nurses. Provides guidance on administering care to new patients or those with special needs and answers questions regarding protocol. Directs admission, discharge and general flow of patients.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
Physical requirements/demands:
Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

What makes 4A Cardiac amazing? We are STEMI certified. We take Cardiac Drug Loading patients. All of our nurses are ACLS certified. 4A Cardiac Unit focuses on CHF, Chest pain, drug load, pre CABG, pre TAVR, Angio with stents, BKS, AKA and med/surg overflow patients.
