Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract role as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving a diverse K-12 student population in a supportive educational environment near Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This on-site position is ready for an ASAP start and offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the district.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in California Previous experience working within a school setting preferred Strong understanding of K-12 student needs, including IEPs and goal setting Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and school staff Excellent organizational and communication skills Commitment to delivering services exclusively on campus
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess students to determine needs for occupational therapy interventions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support academic and developmental success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to multidisciplinary teams Provide direct therapy services to students, adjusting interventions based on ongoing assessment Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with staff and families Offer staff education, training, and consultation when appropriate
