Job Description

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school environments near Plainfield, IL. This highly interactive position will allow you to make a lasting impact as you collaborate with diverse age groups and experience the unique culture of four distinct buildings—including two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 25, 2027, providing long-term stability and valuable professional growth within the educational setting. You'll be working a consistent 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. The caseload operates by service minutes rather than the number of students, averaging 8,000-9,000 minutes per quarter. This system gives you the chance to focus your skills on meaningful, individualized interventions without the overwhelming volume of traditional student headcounts.

Qualifications and Experience:

Active and valid Occupational Therapy license; be sure to provide your license number when applying. Previous experience within school settings is preferred. Comfort and enthusiasm working in person across elementary, middle, and high school environments. Strong collaboration and communication abilities. Adaptability to varying schedules and school cultures.

Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services according to student IEPs and district guidelines. Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to develop and implement student programs. Manage caseload demands and track required service minutes. Assess student progress, document interventions, and participate in IEP meetings.
